Detailed Description
Specifications
Used engine magneto generator part from a 1978 Puch Maxi Luxe moped with an odometer reading of 2,808.5 miles.  This is a very thin internal engine ignition coil with a very thin copper wire coil and only 3 thin metal plates that fit next to the flywheel/magneto.  It has an approx. 10 1/2 inch green wire and an approx. 11 1/2 inch green and black wire attached to it.  The 3 thin metal plate curved surfaces that fit next to the flywheel/magneto have a very little residual rust on them.  (You could optionally derust them by using CRC freeze-off, PB Blaster, or even WD-40, or some other derusting product.)  The top and bottom of the side metal plates either have some coating on them or some residual rust.  Untested.  Probably works, but it might/might not work.  Sold "as is".

This parts diagram explains how this part fits into a 1978-1980 Puch moped engine magneto generator part.

Puch Moped Info:
Moped army provides basic technical info about the Puch Maxi moped, including the 1-speed Puch E50 engine.  The Puch Maxi moped was first built by the Steyr-Daimler-Puch company in 1969.  According to Wikipedia, 1.8 million Puch Maxi mopeds were produced.  Moped army has an extensive gallery of moped pictures.

Puch Moped Parts Compatibility:
According to the 1978-1980 Puch Moped Parts Manual, Puch claims that this part will work in these mopeds:
1978-1980 Puch Maxi moped (with a 1-speed Puch E50 engine).
1978-1980 Puch Maxi Luxe moped (with a 1-speed Puch E50 engine).

1978-1980 Puch Sport MKII moped (with a 2-speed Puch ZA50 engine).
1978-1980 Newport II moped (with a 2-speed Puch ZA50 engine).

It might fit these and/or similar Puch mopeds built in other years but parts compatibility is not guaranteed and this part is sold "as is" with no refunds.  It probably does not fit a Puch Korado moped or a Puch Hero moped.
