Used 1 speed E50 engine gearbox part from a 1978 Puch Maxi Luxe moped with an odometer reading of 2,808.5 miles. This is the 16 teeth faster 2HP version of the main drive sprocket. Gear teeth are in OK shape but the brown plastic protective part on the side is in terrible shape. On one side of the main drive sprocket the protective brown plastic side cover is cracked and covered in black grime. On the other side of the main drive sprocket the protective brown plastic side cover is almost 20% missing. FYI, This part will still work even without the brown plastic protective side cover.
Note: This is a used performance part. If you only have 11-15 teeth on your Puch moped's main drive sprocket, this part will make your moped go faster, but with less torque (less pulling power).
Sold "as is".

Puch Moped Info: Moped army provides basic technical info about the Puch Maxi moped, including the 1-speed Puch E50 engine. The Puch Maxi moped was first built by the Steyr-Daimler-Puch company in 1969. According to Wikipedia, 1.8 million Puch Maxi mopeds were produced. Moped army has an extensive gallery of moped pictures.
Puch Moped Parts Compatibility: According to the 1978-1980 Puch Moped Parts Manual, Puch claims that this 16-tooth main drive sprocket will work in the these Puch E50 1-speed mopeds (that have main drive sprockets with 11, 13, 14, 15, or 16 teeth):
1978-1980 Puch Maxi moped (with a 1-speed Puch E50 engine).
1978-1980 Puch Maxi Luxe moped (with a 1-speed Puch E50 engine).
It might fit these and/or similar Puch mopeds built in other years but parts compatibility is not guaranteed and this part is sold "as is" with no refunds. It probably does not fit a Puch Korado moped or a Puch Hero moped.
According to the 1978-1980 Puch Moped Parts Manual, Puch claims that this not the correct part for these Puch ZA50 2-speed engine mopeds:
1978-1980 Puch Sport MKII moped (with a 2-speed Puch ZA50 engine).
1978-1980 Newport II moped (with a 2-speed Puch ZA50 engine).
These Puch ZA50 2-speed engines use an 18-tooth main drive sprocket instead.
