Sachs Wheel King Moped Left Handlebar Controls. Includes on-off lights switch and starter/horn button. Includes 3 small connector wires that plug into the main wiring connections inside the headlight assembly. It is an old solid metal part. Does not include the left brake lever, sold separately.
I've parted out a 1970s Wheel King moped with a Sachs engine and the Sachs Wheel King moped parts are for sale at EdsSurplus eBay store. The brand name is Wheel King, and it was manufactured by Wheel King in Taiwan in the 1970s with a Sachs engine, carb, intake valve, airbox, air filter, and exhaust pipe.
Product description: Sachs Wheel King Moped Left Handlebar Controls. It fits onto a 7/8" in diameter handlebar. Includes on-off lights switch and starter/horn button. Includes 3 small connector wires that plug into the main wiring connections inside the headlight assembly. It is an old solid metal part. Does not include the left brake lever, sold separately. There is a white wire from the starter/horn switch with a very small male connector. The light switch has both a yellow wire with a very small male connector and a red wire wire that has 2 plastic shielded very small female connectors.
This part has 4 components:
1. A top half metal part with the lights switch.
2. A bottom half metal part with the start/horn button.
3. A solid black cable sheath with 3 wires in it that is firmly connected to the top half and bottom half, fits through the handlebar hole, and fits into all of the wiring connections inside the headlight assembly.
4. 2 old functional but rusted screws holding the top half and bottom half together that work but should ideally be replaced.
Sachs moped parts compatibility: I've seen this part on 2 probably 1970s mopeds manufactured by other manufacturers with Sachs engines on them, so I'm guessing this part is probably very compatible with other at least 1970s mopeds with Sachs engines on them. This is just a guess, and part compatibility or functionality is not guaranteed. Please read the detailed product description to verify part compatibility.
Product Condition: It is untested. The wires and wire connectors look good and have a solid sheath around them. The button and switch appear to work easily. It is a solid metal part but it is also old and cosmetically blemished. It has some rust on the outside and the bottom of the inside. The 2 rusted screws in the bottom work but I would recommend replacing them. The interior has some rust in the bottom. The 2 very small phillips screws that connect to the light switch on the inside look good and don't have any rust. It is untested, not guaranteed to work, and it is sold "as is". My guess is that it probably works, and if for any reason it doesn't, one or both of the top and bottom parts are probably fixable.
Moped Junkyard Part Number(s): This Sachs moped part is not listed for sale at moped junkyard. This is for comparison only, so you know the exact part for sale. The seller is EdsSurplus, not the moped junkyard.
