Used cable part from a 1978 Puch Maxi Luxe moped with an odometer reading of 2,808.5 miles. Very briefly tested working in a Puch moped. The rear brake cable moves with some resistance, but apparently the rear brake lever on the handlebar and the powerful rear brake plate spring have enough power to reliably get it to move. It works, but the cable doesn't move as freely as a brand new brake cable. Could use some lubrication. The black color of the cable sheath has worn away to a flat black or metal color in places. There is a 3/4" tear and a 3/4" tear in the outer cable sheath where the inner coiled metal cable sheath is exposed. Also the long rear brake cable threaded bolt is grimy. The front wheel spins relatively straight. The probably original 2 1/4" x 17" Semperit front tire is cracked on the sides and it needs to be replaced even though it has good tread. The front wheel rim has some rust on it but it is not heavily rusted. The front wheel rim is inscribed with some writing including "D 1.35 x17" and "MADE IN ITALY". Sold "as is".
